The Belgian Forum on Invasive Species (BFIS) and the RAPID Life Project (Reducing and Preventing IAS Dispersal) are co-organising an event in Brussels on 18/12/2019 to facilitate the exchange of information on IAS prevention and management between stakeholders in different European countries.

The aim of the festival is to strengthen understanding of the role of citizen engagement across the policy cycle.

Forests at the heart of Sustainable Development

The objective of the "Science meets Parliaments and Regions" initiative is to promote this concept not only at EU level, but also at national, regional and local levels.

Since the EU Forest Strategy was adopted in 2013, the challenges for the European Forest Sector have been growing and the EU policy framework and the EU policies affecting forests have strongly evolved.
