European Alien Species Information Network (EASIN) Team
Marco Trombetti (Ph.D.) is a forestry scientist from Bari, Italy.
He has completed a 5 years degree in Forestry Sciences and he specialized in the application of GIS and Remote Sensing geospatial techniques and methods for environmental analysis. He has experience in spatial modeling, natural risk assessment and vegetation status monitoring. He worked in Spain, Italy, Netherlands and USA for universities, research centers and private firms.
He joined JRC in 2011 as a consultant, working as a GIS analyst for modeling the multimedia chemical fate of pesticides and the consequent risk assessment for pollinating bees. He has been involved in the scientific support of EASIN, working on the refinement of the EASIN Catalogue and the quality assessment of the database.
