The study provides quantitative data illustrating the feasibility of dog detection as a complementary method in monitoring and surveying for A. glabripennis. Well-trained dogs are therefore able to detect at high sensitivity and specifity rates A. glabripennis frass, larvae and infested wood under experimental and realistic conditions.
