Sampling alien plankton species in the Black Sea

The Black Sea Bio-Optical Cruise supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), led by the Joint Research Center (JRC), and performed onboard the Akademik Research Vessel of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, has included plankton samplings, with the deployment of zooplankton net from the stern of the Research Vessel.

 

Identification of specimens takes place directly onboard.
