EASIN is a network of Alien Species Data Partners with a complementary and additive role to existing databases and information systems. EASIN invites data owners, such as databases, Universities, Research Institutes, scientists and citizen science projects to share data sets and expertise on Alien Species occurring in Europe increasing their visibility and their impact.
We welcome IBISurvey -Introduced Bird Interaction Survey to the network of Data Partners. IBISurvey is a Citizen Science project from the University of Évora (Portugal). Its main objective is to assess the environmental, societal and economic impacts of introduced birds in European countries by making easier the identification of introduced birds to the general public; obtaining information on the distribution, abundance and behaviour of introduced species, and increasing public awareness about the impact of introduced species.
