• Islands Invasives Conference 2017

    Dundee, UK

Island flora and fauna are particularly vulnerable to invasive alien species (IAS), and many insular endemics have been driven to extinction by these invaders. On the other hand, islands may also offer the possibility of long-term refuge and security if alien species can be eradicated or effectively controlled.

Organizers: University of Dundee in partnership with IUCN, SSC, ISSG RSPB
    When: 10-14 July 2017

    Where: Dundee, UK

The Dundee conference follows tyhe meetings held in Auckland, New Zealand in 2001 and 2010, is  the first to be held in the northern hemisphere, and will focus on invasive IAS impact on islands, and their management.
