with a west Atlantic origin, how else could it be introduced? floating objects accounts for a human introduction I suppose... Distribution according to Fishbase: Western Atlantic: Massachusetts, USA southward to northern Brazil, Bermuda, throughout Bahamas, including Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea
