Considered cosmopolitan in CABI, the invasive status in the distribution map is not presented but the distribution table notes origin as 'introduced' in several European countries. What is the correct status of this species? alien and invasive?or cryptogenic (species for which details on the alien status in a region are available but for which explicit evidence is lacking, implying that the species could be native (Carlton, 1996))?
