Thread Opening Text: Species to be added to the EASIN Catalogue? Ref.: García-de-Lomas J, Cózar A, Dana ED, Hernández I, Sanchez-García I, García CM (2010) Invasiveness of Galenia pubescens (Aizoaceae): A New Threat to Mediterranean-Climate Coastal Ecosystems. Acta Oecologica 36, 39–45.

I would suggest to add Galenia pubescens (Eckl. & Zeyh.) Druce [Aizoaceae] to the EASIN Catalogue. Since 2015 this alien plant has also been included in the EPPO Alert List for the EPPO region, which includes the EU region. G. pubescens has invaded coastal sand dunes in Spain where it forms dense monocultures which have a negative impact on local biodiversity.

The species has been added to the EASIN Catalogue.
