According to the article of A. Cini, C. Ioratti, G. Anfora, 2012 "A review of the invasion of Drosophila suzukii in Europe and a draft research agenda for integrated pest management" Bulletin of Insectology 65 (1) 149-160, ISSN 1721-8861, the first introduction in Europe was recorded in 2008. Furthermore, the geographical distribution of the species (recorded in ES, IT, FR, DE, CH, AT, HR, SL, BE)needs to be updated in the EASIN database.
