The only Caulibugula species in the EASIN list is Caulibugula zanzibarensis (should be written as Caulibugula zanzibariensis, see WoRMS). This species has been recorded from the Arcachon Basin (F) by d'Hondt & Breton (2005). In the same year Caulibugula arcasounensis was described as a new species from the Arcachon Basin (De Blauwe 2005). This probably concerns the same species. De Blauwe (2005) describes differences with C. zanzibariensis. De Blauwe H 2005. A new species of Caulibugula (Bryozoa: Cheilostomatida) from France. Bulletin van het Koninklijk Belgisch Instituut voor Natuurwetenschappen, Biologie 75: 81-87. D’Hondt JL & Breton G 2005. Une nouvelle introduction dans le bassin d’Arcachon: le bryozoaire cheilostome intertropical Caulibugula zanzibarensis Waters, 1913. Bull. Soc. géol. Normandie Amis Mus. Havre 92(1): 19-22.

Caulibugula zanzibarensis will be changed to Caulibugula zanzibariensis, as proposed, and add distribution in France.
