According to an EFSA publication (http://www.efsa.europa.eu/it/efsajournal/pub/3858.htm) the current taxonomy is Ceratocystis platani (Walter) Engelbrecht et Harrington (Engelbrecht and Harrington, 2005), which synonim is Ceratocystis fimbriata (Ellis and Halsted.
