Thread Opening Text: This is a marine and brackish water species, well known as introduced in Israel for acquaculture (in marine waters). It is included in Goren and Galil (2014), but it is excluded from the EASIN catalogue. Is it due to be absence of published specimens escaped from acquaculture facilities (= no records in the wild)? We are plenty of specimens recorded from acquacultures only...

Indeed Prof Golani who has co-authored Golani & Mires, 2000 record in 1999 from Hadera port, has confirmed that the species is absent in the wild and should thus be removed from the alien's list
Fabio CROCETTA 5/7/2014 - 3:09 PM
I do not understand this point. Does it mean that the record from Hadera port was wrong and should be not considered?
