But this is uncorrect. Di Natale (1982) reported about Littorina littorea (another different species of the genus) for Faro Lake (Sicily). The correct citation(s) near "1972: Italy" should be:

Crocetta et al., 2013. Zookeys, where it is explained why the description year is also the first known year of introduction...

This was changed in the master table and now Olivi (1792) is considered as the first record in the Mediterranean.
