Thread Opening Text: This species is reported as alien both in WORMS and in EASIN http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=670446 However, no specimens are known from outside the Mediterranean Sea, and its small shell sizes and difficult taxonomy should suggest to include it among cryptogenics, up to certain findings outside the Mediterranean Sea
Stelios Katsanevakis 8/27/2014 - 3:15 PM
Furthermore, recent Mediterranean records ascribed to Hinemoa cylindrica should refer to Oscilla galilae http://journals.tubitak.gov.tr/havuz/zoo-1405-78.pdf

Can we close the discussion and change the status of the species to Cryptogenic?
Argyro ZENETOS 4/3/2015 - 12:53 PM
yes please
