Thread Opening Text: According to EASIN I detected that we have: Martes epiroticus, Martes rossiaemeridionalis. So, I consulted both name in ITIS and I didn’t found as bellowing to the family of MUSTELIDAE http://www.itis.gov/servlet/SingleRpt/SingleRpt?search_topic=TSN&search_value=632887. I found out that M. rossiaemeridionalis belongs to MURIDAE family (Microtus rossiaemeridionalis) not MUSTELIDAE. I also checked the synonymous for Martes foina http://www.itis.gov/servlet/SingleRpt/SingleRpt and I couldn’t see those proposed in EASIN. Could it be a mistake? Kind regards,

Thank you for the information, the fields regarding synonyms and common names are wrong and will be deleted/corrected

In EASIN there are currently 3 species listed: M. zibellina R09090, M. Foina R17646 and M. martes R17647. All of them recorded as ALIEN. Could you please check their status? The synonims M. epiroticus and M. rosiaemeridionalis are still present under M. foina. Should we delete them? Thanks, Eugenio

M. epiroticus and M. rossiaemeridionalis are synonyms of Microtus levis, not of Martes foina (Riccardo Scalera - personal communication).

M. epiroticus and M. rossiaemeridionalis deleted from the synonymy of Martes foina.
