We warmly welcome to EASIN Team Celia López Cañizares, who has recently joined JRC as a trainee, and will be working on Citizen Science, science and outreach communication.
Citizen Science is steadily gaining attention and importance in biodiversity monitoring and conservation. EASIN is committed to contribute to this field by raising awareness and engaging with a wider public to join efforts in alien species monitoring and management. This is being pursued by means of a dedicated webpage on Citizen Science, communication via social media, and the smartphone application "Invasive Alien Species Europe".
