Sara PELÁEZ SÁNCHEZ (Former member of the team)
Sara was born in 1986 in Zamora (Spain), has a BSc in Biology and a Master U. in Ecosystem Restoration Alcalá university (UAH, Madrid).
She has been always concerned about environmental preservation working as a volunteer in LIFE+ Canal de Castilla (2008) and CONAMA (National Environmental Congress)(2010-2012).
She made an Erasmus trainership in the Biodiversity Department of Louvain la Neuve University (UCL, Belgium) where she developed her thesis about orchids conservation and management between 2009-2010. Her work so far mainly focused on restoration ecology and the recovery of ecosystems services in several degraded areas, such as rivers, agricultural fields and forestry systems.
Sara has worked as a trainee at the Water Resources Unit of the Institute for Environment and Sustainability (JRC), where she was a member of the scientific team of EASIN, mainly supporting the development of EASIN-Lit.
